Kim May 15, 2023 for Model Number NGM5455UC/01 None of my ignitors spark. Would the ignition device be the issue or would I need to look at something different?
Frank May 15, 2023 for Model Number NGM5455UC/01 The front right gas burner will not spark. All other burners spark and light. The right one did spark off and on for a while but no more. I changed the igniter with another one but did not help. This proved that it was not the ignitor. Do I change the spark module or the Ignitor harness?
1 Answer Frank, If you switch the ignitor wires on the spark module and it still won't spark then check for continuity on the spark switch for that specific valve that doesn't light when the knob is in the light position. If there is no continuity then the harness needs replaced not the module. Read More...
1 Answer Billy, with the gas and power supplies turned off, the burner heads, knobs, and burner top panel would need to be removed to access the ignition device. The cooktop may need to be lifted out of the counter to do this if the counter is only supporting the top burner panel. Read More...
Ted September 01, 2021 for Model Number HGIP054UC/01 Is this Ignition device the likely problem if all five burners continue sparking when one burner has lit and the knob is turned to a level where the sparking should stop?
1 Answer Ted, the ignition device 12004873 would be the most likely cause of this failure. Read More...
John June 02, 2021 for Model Number NGM8065UC/01 Do you have the cable that plugs in to the Ignition Device? There are 5 male connections on one side for the individual burners. The other side has an 11 pin connection for power and the valves (looking at the schematic). That is the cable that I can't find and does not show up on the parts diagram. The part number for the ignition device is AP5951433
