The opening is 24" by 8". Is there another brand that we could jerry-rigg one from that would be close to those measurements? The model number is ZH723354B The other number is GSD3200J00BB. Doug June 17, 2013 for Model Number SHX55R55UC Just purchased this dishwasher and can not get the metal toe plate to line up or even fit where it is shown on the instruction sheet the plastic panel is in place ( for catching things from going under the machine) the metal plate will not fit between the door and the floor - like its too tall.
1 Answer Doug, To install the kickplate you will need to put the top under the door first then roll the bottom of the panel toward the dishwasher and it should slide into place.
