Greg April 21, 2022 for Model Number MBES01 Thermador built in MBES /01 microwave just stopped as if there is no power to the unit. We’ve checked the obvious as far as the outlet, breaker etc and still nothing. The unit wasn’t experiencing any issues before just going dead. Any suggestions are appreciated.
1 Answer Greg, Using the wiring diagram packaged with the machine I would start by checking the internal fuse, door switches, and thermostats. Read More...
Rick May 06, 2020 for Model Number HMB5050/01 (Bosch) This microwave HMB5050/01 is part of a combo oven/micro built in HBL5750UC. The microwave started to act up with the same problem many people have, that it runs for 10-15 seconds and then stops in mid cycle. Finally after not having a microwave for almost a month I took on the nightmare and pulled this whole unit out of the cabinet, removed the microwave from it and started to do some checking with my Fluke voltmeter, checking the ohms across the leads of the magnetron. Initially it read 3.2 ohms, so I thought that this most likely would be the problem. I then removed the magnetron from the microwave and checked it again. Now it read 1.0 ohms. Just as I was getting ready to order this magnetron I now started to have my doubts. I put everything back the way it was and tested the microwave again by putting a cold cup of water in it and to my utter surprise it worked without a flaw. I tried it at least 10 times all the way up to 66 seconds and it always completed the cycle telling me to enjoy my hot cup of whatever. But here is the problem. Even though everything seems to work like it is supposed to, the cup of water is still cold. Now I am really confused. Can you help?
1 Answer Hello Rick, from your description, it appears the magneton was the problem as in this model design a faulty magnetron will cause the control to stop, while the ohm value for the magnetron is in range it does not indicate that it will work/oscillate under full power. Since the control is no longer stopping in mid cycle and it is not heating that usually indicates the magnetron has now failed completely. The magnetron is part 00641858. Read More...
Michael K January 19, 2018 for Model Number MMB 405/01 1) I had 3 group of numbers which one is the part number for a Bosch Microwave's Magnetron: 2M246; 050GF; T0501-073845? 2) How to tell if the Magnetron good or bad
1 Answer Michael, Unfortunately we are showing no parts for this unit. To be able to tell whether the magnetron is good then you would test for less than 1 ohm of resistance. If the resistance is correct then this will be a bad magnetron. Read More...
Vince December 09, 2012 Bosch hmb5050 13 months old break down twice. First break down was after 3 months, second break down after 10 months after technician fix. Mircowave will shut down around 20-25 seconds without any heat. If this cause do to Magnetron failure? Thank for your help.
1 Answer Vince, The magnetron tube 00641858 could be at fault, but there are still several components to consider: 00641857, and the other PC Boards. You'll need to get access to a multi meter TJMA-DM1 so you can check the circuits , resistances and voltage(if needed) Read More...
