Brad M. March 07, 2013 for Model Number Bosch gas range - HGS5052UC Hello, I had the oven on and it wouldn't turn off. I cut the power which fixed that problem but when I turned the power back on neither the clock time adjustment or oven settings wouldn't work. There is a brief number 013 that shows for 2 seconds when the power is turned on. The stove burners work fine. What do I need? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Brad, This sounds like the control board 00653424 is in need of replacement. The fault code you had pop up was a EEPROM data failure. This sounds really complicated but it just means that the pre-programmed information in the "chip" has been corrupted. Read More...

Luc February 24, 2012 for Model Number CGX304UB I have one burner that stopped working and I need part # 189817. Apparently you can only buy this whole Potentiometer Kit #497235 which is really expensive! Does anyone know where I can get part # 189817? It would be so lame if I have to buy the whole kit. Might as well invest that money into a whle new range.
1 Answer Luc, the manufacturer has discontinued part number 189817 and the potentionmeter kit 00497235 is the only item available. Sorry about that! Read More...
Steve December 30, 2011 for Model Number sgcs365rs ser#9901...... Hello, My cook-top has already had this kit installed sometime in the past, but one of the potentiometers have quit. I know that's the problem because if I remove both and trade their places, then the burner that previously did not work does, and the one that did work no longer does. Can I get just one of the potentiometers instead of the whole kit?
1 Answer Hello Steve. No, you will need to order the kit for the potentiometer 00497235. Thank you. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Hami. Turn the rear extra low burner knob to "HI" and check between POT2 & LINE 5 at the simmer controller 00497235. The voltage should be 1.5 VDC if the solenoid is on. Warning: POT1, POT2, and LINE 5 are carrying 120 VAC. Repeat the process for the front burner. The reading between POT1 and LINE 5 should be 1.5 VDC. If not, check voltage on solenoid 1 and solenoid 1 RET on the simmer controller. The voltage should be between 85 to 105 VDC. Repeat for Solenoid 2 and solenoid 2 RET on the simmer controller. If there is no voltage there replace the controller. If the first test was good, and the 1.5 VDC was at both checks, you will turn the rear burner to "XLO" and check for 5 VDC between POT2 & LINE 5. Repeat for the front burner, but you will test from POT1 & LINE 5 for the front burner. If the voltage is good, does the solenoid operate 5 to 10 seconds and then off for 50 to 55 seconds. If not, you will need to replace the simmer controller. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
