Tim October 25, 2011 for Model Number shx56b05uc 14 I have a 6 vanes impeller on the drain pump like the picture above. Should I get a 4 or 9 vanes replacement? Any tips on replacing it would be appreciated. The previous post was not as clear as I would have hoped. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hello Tim. Based on the model number you provided, 00167082 is the correct drain pump assembly. This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. You can use the 9 vanes 00642239, but would need to order the adapter 00623143 with it. Hope this helps. Read More...
Chris July 17, 2011 for Model Number SHU3305UC/U12 Water is pooling in the bottom of the dishwasher after a cycle. Would this be an issue with the drain pump? If so, where is the drain pump located in this model and how would I replace. Thank you.
1 Answer Hi Chris. The pump is part # 00167082. Did you check the end of your drain hose to see if it , or the plumbing end is clogged? Put the hose in a bucket and try to drain it. Use a shop "wet " vac to help get the water out of the tub if needed. Thank you. Read More...

Is there room to remove the old pump from underneath the dishwasher while its still installed.
1 Answer Hello Curt. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. According to them, you can replace it from the front of the machine. Hope this helps. Removing & installing drain pump: ??Remove toe kick, then pull up terminal cover and disconnect wires.
