Steve January 01, 2026 My Thermador stovetop has the spark ignitor OEM8475768, BSH 189010 which is no longer manufactured. This is 6 ignitors in it but only 4 of them (1,2,5,6) have outputs attached to a burner. All pins on the input are there as this is probably a standard cable assembly. Ignitor 6 is not working. Can I move the input pin on the connector from 6 to 4 and then move the output from 6 to 4? If not, should I replace the igniter with a Bosch 00753257, and will the wiring be the same?
1 Answer Steve, You can switch the wiring to ensure that it is a problem with the spark module. If there still is no spark from the one you switched then this will be the module which has been discontinued. Read More...
Eric November 03, 2023 i have a stove with spark module part number 00189010 but that part is no longer available.. there is a different spark module with part number 00189024. Could i use this part instead?
1 Answer Eric, unfortunately, we would not be able to recommend an alternative part as we would not be able to guarantee that it would work properly. Read More...
Kevin September 29, 2022 for Model Number PRG486GDUS The current spark re-ignitor is no longer avaiolable. It is the B/S/H Aplliances Spark Re-Ignitor, part # 9902 204 20284 or 5060001712. The replacement part that is available did not fit the wire harness, so, I was told to re-wire it directly, but, the new "blue colored 306" ignitor still does not create a spark. Not sure what is wrong and/or why the harnes does not fit the new replacement part??
1 Answer Kevin, According to the manufacturer, the correct module you would need is part number 00753257. It is redesigned but should work for the model. Read More...
Tanner February 14, 2012 for Model Number Thermador PGR486GLZS My Thremador main oven fails to fire up in bake and convection bake mode. The top burners, auxiliary oven, main oven broiler work. The PC board was replaced 1.5 years ago. The oven igniter (AP319444) was replaced 3 days ago. There still no spark to the main oven, and there is gas smell upon turning on the bake/conv bake selection. I need help to fix this problem, my questions are: 1- Would this module (AP2825253) support all re-ignition of the oven or just for the top burners alone? 2- Should I reset the oven? Thanks tanner
1 Answer Tanner, here are some checks you need to make for a no bake, ignition issue : "NO BAKE 1. Check incoming line voltage to the DBL (double line relay) NO side and neutral. Should have 120 VAC. If no voltage present trace wiring back to terminal block. 2. Program the unit into Bake or Broil. Check voltage at the DBL (double line relay) com side to neutral. Should read 120 VAC. If no voltage present replace main relay board. If voltage is present then check if cooling fan is running. If cooling fan is not running check wiring and cooling fan motor. If cooling fan is running then check the air switch/sail switch that is mounted to the cooling fan assy. You must remove cooling fan to gain access to air switch/sail switch. **Note: The cooling fan should turn on immediately when any cooking cycle is programmed." If all checks OK, replace the oven igniter device 00618624 Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
