For Bosch Switch W/Term, Speed Control (Part Number: OEM8495592)

Conrad

I have a Thermador HT48HQS vent hood - have pestered everybody I can find for a new fan control switch - Thermador does not supply them anymore - TriVar has not manufactured them since 2008 - nobody I can find has any remaining stock and just says "good luck elseware". My question: will a different type or style switch work here - if not can I just swap out the vent fan (located on my roof) with a different unit and install a matching switch to work with the new fan and resolve the problem?

You will need to remove the switch and light panel mounted on the inside of the front hood area. Then remove the fan control knob, loosen and remove the palnut holding the switch to the control panel. Slide the switch out of the back panel. Replace switch in reverse order.
