Francis December 28, 2020 for Model Number Broan 883004 I would like to buy the replacement switch from you. How do I remove the old switch - part number S97011801 ? Two sliders on top are for the fan, bottom slider is for the lights. Thank you in advance.
1 Answer Hello Francis, the switch would be accessed from the underside of the hood, there should be a panel there that once removed will allow access to the switch. Read More...
Sd October 08, 2016 for Model Number Broan Microtek System IV Will this switch (AP5609846) work for my Broan kitchen hood? I took the switch card out and the part number is Broan 97007541 and looks like an exact match.
Xavier October 04, 2015 for Model Number 23352145590 Hi, I bought a motor (s97010736) to replace a motor that seemed defective in our range hood (kenmore) back in May (order# 5490905). I replaced the motor and the hood worked but with significantly less potency than when we bought the hood. I called, talked to someone that promise to call back with help, but did not call back. Since I installed the motor it has steadily lost power and is not clearing fumes when cooking. It is not powerful enough to open the flaps that allow the fumes to exit the house. Also, I barely notice an increase in power when sliding the switch to the most right. Could the sliding switch (potentiometer?) be defective? The light do work. Please advise, Xavier
1 Answer Xavier, It sounds like you either have received a faulty motor or you have a bad fan switch S97007159. Unfortunately we do not have any technical information to be able to assist properly but would appear to be one of the 2 items that is no good. Read More...
Ray February 17, 2015 for Model Number 23352445590 Sir, I was able to remove the fan/switch control panel, part number 97007541. Before I go buy a new one I would like to find out how to test this one to see if it indeed is going to be my problem. The switch has several pins and I need help in identifying which to probe for testing, can you please assist me with this? Thanks
1 Answer Ray, Unfortunately we do not have wiring diagrams for this unit and would not be able to tell which terminal is for each setting. If you can locate the COM terminal then test from it to each of the others in sequence of low to high and if there is continuity on the terminals of one of them to common in each setting then the part would be good. Chuck October 25, 2014 for Model Number 2335238510 I need to replace the switch. How do I get the old one out. I removed the box and unplugged the cord. Do I need to take the whole thing out to get to the switch. I haven't ordered it yet so I do not know what the replacement looks like. thanks
1 Answer Chuck, There is a panel on the underside of the vent hood that you would need to remove in order to access the switch. Once the panel is removed the switch should be accessible. Read More...
Chris J. August 11, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore range Hood 233.52340590 The light switch knob on my hood is broken. One of the plastic arms on the back of the switch that anchors on either side of the internal switch has broken off. I have the correct replacement part (part number s99111123), but what is the best way (least invasive way) to get the front of the instrument panel off to change out the knob? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Chris, Unfortunately, this is one of those Kenmore units that Sears has hidden all of the service information from the public so we are unable to pull information on it. It is usually accessed by removing the internal covers located up inside the hood assembly. This is basically the only way to access the part. Read More...
Robert Or Carol June 21, 2012 for Model Number Kanmore Range Hood Model 233052345590 I need to replace the "light switch" on my Kenmore range hood model # 233-52345590; is this the proper switch or switch assembly? My range hood has two (2) plastic slide switches; the top one is for the fan and the bottom is for the hood light. I need to know whether or not this switch assembly part number (AP3259951) is for both fan and light or just the fan or just the light. It is the light switch that is broken. Thanks, Bob
1 Answer Hello Robert and Carol! Yes, the switch assembly S97011801 is the correct manufacturer replacement part used on your model 233.52345590. This switch is used for both the fan and the light switch. Thanks! Read More...
