Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Oven Vent Adapter Assembly (Part Number: OEM11555010)

Trish, That part could be push and twisted back into place. There should be a thermal cutoff on the back of the range that would have a red reset button. Try pushing the reset and if it trips again would need to be replaced.

George, This issue would not be caused by the product but would either be that there is not a solid top or bottom of the cabinet installation. Also would want to check to make sure that there is nothing blocking the vent below the control panel or at the bottom of the unit. Also check to make sure that any air vents are not pointed directly towards the unit. This is going to be some type of air flow issue creating the issue.

Chris for Model Number Kenmore Eline 790.47904690

I purchased part #31831700 as the honeycomb fell out of the original and broke when I tried to put it back in place. Turning the old unit did not release it; however, through brute force and lots of twisting and pulling, I got the old adapter out. Looking at both old and new, there do not appear to be any slots that need to be aligned. Instead it appears to simply be a friction fit. Unfortunately, it's a lot of friction such that I can't get it into the vent pipe as more force is needed to try to shove the new unit into the vent pipe than is needed to push the vent pipe upwards into the oven body. Any suggestions on how to install the new one. Will I need to pull the oven out? Will that expose the vent pipe or will I need to remove some of the oven housing to gain access to the vent pipe? Thanks!

Chris, To get to the pipe assembly on this unit you would need to pull the unit out and remove the top cover. This will allow access to the pipe assembly.

Fred, I believe you may have the wrong part. Based on the model number given the replacement oven vent tube is part number 316073606. The honeycomb portion is not available separate from the vent tubing. Thanks.

Mike, To remove the adapter assembly you would gain access from inside the oven. You would need to turn it until the slot s line up for it to drop down.

Hello Mark. This is used to remove the smoke from the oven. You can use the oven without it, but it is not recommended.
