Shawn T March 20, 2013 I have a Frig Flat-top oven. The burners work without problem but when we turn on the oven/broiler, it doesnt work. There is an audible "click" like it wants to work but niether element gets even warm. Was told that the best idea for repair is to replace the "EOC" Is that accurate?
1 Answer Shawn, You will want to check to make sure that the thermal limiters on the unit are not bad. Check at the EOC for voltage between L1 and bake. There should be 120 vac at this point and if not then the EOC is bad. Read More...
Suzette January 26, 2013 for Model Number FEF365BWG PART # AP3586196 I NEED TO INSTALL THIS CIRCUIT BOARD AND NOT SURE HOW TO REMOVE OLD ONE AND OR REPLACE WITH THE NEW ONE. ALSO DIDNT BUY A NEW OVERLAY SO WANT TO REUSE OLD ONE
1 Answer Suzette, " To remove the electronic oven control: 1. Disconnect power from the range. 2. Remove the back panel from the backguard. 3. Disconnect the wires and harness from the control board. 4. Remove the four screws. (One from each corner)". Reverse the procedure and test the control. If you're going to be using the original overlay, you will need to be "extremely" careful removing it from the original control. You may even wish to warm it with a hair dryer to keep it flexible and loosen the adhesive. They have a tendency to wrinkle and roll, and usually don't have a pleasing appearence when installed. Isaac February 14, 2012 My range works just fine, but now the display is not working, so the oven will not work. Everything has worked with this stove perfectly until now, but I don't want to have to buy a whole new stove if I don't need to. Could it be that all I need is AP3586196 ?
1 Answer Hello Isaac. Test for power to the clock on the unit. If there is power there, and the clock does not light up, you will need to replace the clock assembly 316207510. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Jb December 17, 2011 for Model Number fef365bwf my oven or broil does not heat up at all but the control board shows it is working. Ihave replaced the temp. probe but still nothing what now?
1 Answer Hi JB. The pictorial breakdown does not show a oven thermostat. So double check and see if you have 240 vac at the terminal block and 120 vac between L-1 and L-2 and neutral. If all the wiring is tight and at the elements also, The clock control needs changed. It is part # 316207510. Thank You. Read More...
