Meg March 15, 2017 for Model Number GLTF2940ES3 Looking to replace the door handle of our GLTF2940ES3 washer. Not particular on how the finished product looks (color/style/etc) - only that we have an operating doorhandle. Would one of the cheaper options (134412801 @ $28.15 or 134412860 @ $21.29 ) serve the same purpose as the $78/ AP3851405 model? This is an older washer that has seen much wear -- but yet, continues to be high functioning for us. It would be nice not to have to invest in so much for a simple door handle!! Thanks for any/all advice you could offer. I also have a talented husband who is determined to put his own version of door handle on this ... so, could go that route too ...
1 Answer Meg, It may be worth a try, the attachment clips and standoff are in the same locations(+/- 1/16") The overall length of the handle is a bit shorter by about and inch, and about an inch less in width, but wouldn't expect too many issues there. Edgar K September 09, 2016 for Model Number GLTF2940FS1 Lower screw receptacle in clear plastic front that holds the pull handle is broken and it will not retain the screw. So the handle is lose at the base & door can be opened by carefully pulling the handle at the top. Do I need to replace the entire door?

The handle 134472202 appears to have approximately 10" between the screw holes. Unfortunately these are not exact as we do not have the parts in front of us and the manufacturer does not provide these types of specifications.
