Tom August 23, 2018 for Model Number EIFLW55HIWO I have to replace the hinge assembly as the old one broke. I can’t see how to remove the hinge from the machine frame. I have removed the 4 screws and the hinge is loose, but it seems to be hung up on something. Does the finish trim ring around the door need to be removed? If so how does it come off as there are no visible fasteners Thanks!
1 Answer Tom, First remove door from hinge then 1. With the hinge in open position, remove 2 short, course-thread, panhead screws on hinge plate. (See Figure 2-12) 2. Remove 3 short, fine-thread, counter-sunk screws in hinge side. (See Figure 2-13) 3. Slide the hinge toward the center of the front panel, and then pivot the hinge inward while slowly pulling it away from the front panel to expose the attached harness. 4.
