Cfkane April 30, 2019 for Model Number 253.6481840G I think the light socket in this Sears top freezer refrigerator needs to be replaced. The bulb is good in other sockets and the refrigerator and freezer compartments are working. Your website says this part: Light Bulb Socket Part Number: AP3757769 Made by: Genuine Frigidaire part Is compatible. How do I replace it? Can I just pop it out and remove and replace the connectors or do I have to remove the entire "console" that contains the light socket? Thank you very much.
1 Answer CFKane, the best way to prevent any possible damage to the console is to remove the socket starting from inside the console especially when taking into account the length of the wiring attached to it. Read More...

How long I will get the part from you if I order today?
1 Answer Sue, The part number for the light socket on your unit would be D7714407 but has been discontinued with no suitable replacement available. You will want to make sure that the bulb is fully seated in the socket and you may have to tighten it down a little more. Read More...
