The Dispenser Module is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It functions to dispense filtered water and ice through the refrigerator door. The module works with the water filtration system as well as ice maker components like the evaporator and ice accumulator, to monitor water levels and release ice or water on demand.

Symptoms of a bad dispenser module include:

  • Inconsistent or failing water or ice dispensing
  • Water leaks inside refrigerator compartments
  • Fault codes or error messages related to dispensing issues
  • Repeated trips requiring door access for dispenser system checks

Causes of failure can be worn electronic contacts, failures in water or ice level sensors, or moisture damage over time. Replacement maintains integrated controls for convenient filtered water access.

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore refrigerator models.

KC, if water will not dispense either, the likely cause of failure would be the switch in the module 242270107. However, if water does dispense, the main control 5304512769 would need to be tested for 120VAC at connection J3 from pin 1 to pin 2 when the dispenser is activated. If there is voltage and the door switch operates properly, the auger 241816602 would be the cause of failure. If there is not voltage, the main control has failed.
