Sheryl With An "S" August 27, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire air conditioner FRA144HT2 I need to remove the front panel (part # PS2359215) to clean behind the louvres. I can pull the bottom part loose, but the top edge is stuck and so I can't remove the panel. Any advice you can give would be appreciated. I called Frigidaire customer service and the rep just told me to pull it off. Is there any chance that I will break the Control Panel if I do manage to pull off the front panel?
1 Answer Sheryl, Here are the basic instructions for removing the front grill assembly : 1. Disconnect the power supply from unit. 2. Grab filter handle at top center of the front grille. Pull out, then upwards to remove filter. 3. Extract the two screws securing the front panel to the unit. Screws are visible with the filter removed. 4. Using a putty knife, carefully pry out the side and top retaining clips (4) from the slots cut in the cabinet wrapper. 5. Pull front panel from front of unit. Just remeber to be careful with the grill, they can break easily. Read More...
Robin April 07, 2016 for Model Number FRA14EHT20 Unit will not turn on. If reset button is pressed the control panel will beep and light up for a minute. Does it need a new pc board. Please advise
1 Answer Robin, If the reset button feels like it is depressing and resetting then popping back out then the power cord would be the issue. If it is staying set then the main control would most likely be the issue. Read More...
