Karlie M. November 20, 2013 for Model Number FGHD2465NF I recently ordered the Frigidaire dishwasher model FGHD2465NF. There are no holes on the inside for allow side mounting. There is only 1 bracket on the top to screw into the countertop. I'm having to remove flooring and screw into the sides. Will this kit work even though there are no holes for side mounting? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Karlie, If you refer to the installation instructions, it states that Floor Anchoring is difficult and should be used only if countertop mounting brackets cannot be used. (1.) Screw 1/4” lag screws, (not included), through holes provided in frame rail. (2.) Use expansion fasteners if floor is concrete. Phil October 26, 2013 for Model Number FGBD2438 I am interested in the side mount kit both because the counter top is compressed sawdust and to seal the sides between the cabinets and the dishwasher side frame .It is replacing a Maytag dishwasher that had rubber "gasket type" side mounts. In so far as I can tell the replacement side mount will not seal the sides; is that correct and is there any thing available for sealing the gap between the frame and cabinet (ca. 1/8 inch each side)
