Tawnya March 17, 2021 for Model Number FFHS2622MBO I have purchased two light sockets for this fridge, but neither work as the plugs are too close together, compared to the original socket. I believe this may be due to the fact that this model was built in Mexico - but not sure. Is it possible to get a part for something built in Mexico?
1 Answer Tawnya, The light socket 218906802 is for the upper light in the refrigerator section and is the correct one for the unit. If the wires are in a connector then the connector may need to be cut in half to get the wires to go on the terminals. Read More...
Stephanie September 24, 2020 for Model Number FRT21LR8DSP The refrigerator lights (double socket) went out at the same time. I can't get the bulbs out but I'm thinking maybe it's the socket since they both went out at the same time. How do I get the socket out?
1 Answer Hello Stephanie, the light socket assembly is clipped into the control panel on the ref ceiling which has about 3-4 screws holding it to the ceiling, remove the screws and it will drop down, then you can release the socket's clip. Read More...
Tina D September 12, 2019 for Model Number FFSS2615TE0 How do you change the light bulb for the freezer.
1 Answer Tina, The light bulb will be located under the auger motor in the freezer and you should be able to access it just by removing the ice bin. The light bulb is just a screw-in bulb and you just unscrew it and screw another in. Read More...
Jerry B December 30, 2017 for Model Number FRS26TS7DB3 Periodically when we open the refrigerator door, the light will fail to come on, but if I fiddle with the bulb-&-socket a bit, the light will come on. Sometimes I need to fix it again the next time I open the door, sometimes it's fine for a while. I also note that your part 15 bulb is described as blue and clearly has a screw-in base, but our looks pinkish and does not appear to unscrew (though I've been cautious as to how much torque I've applied).
1 Answer Jerry, This light bulb that is in your unit will unscrew but it sounds as though you may have a loose bulb that would need to be tightened or replace the bulb. Read More...
Jemiliz September 16, 2017 for Model Number LFUS2613LP0 Hello, should I go ahead and change the light socket of my fridge? I finally came to the conclusion that the light on the fridge was staying on. The switch is working is just that the fridge door doesnt make any contact with the light switch which I already fixed. I removed the light bulb and noticed that the gold/metal part of the light socket is completely black I went ahead and put on the light bulb and it gets super super hot could the light socket be the cause of this? which thats how I realized that theres was something going on with the light bulb because as soon as I opened the door and touched the light bulb it would be hot....
1 Answer Jemiliz, It would be recommended to go ahead and replace the light socket on the unit. Read More...
