Dave, If you remove the control housing where the light socket is located you should be able to push the tabs on the backside to remove the light socket assembly.

D.J. for Model Number Kenmore 253.69249702

Thank you for the quick reply to my previous question. This is additional information to my earlier question. Only one light on my two bulb light socket is working correctly. The other one (in the back) seems to flicker most of the time. This is in the refrigerated section of my Kenmore refrigerator. I tried the "working correctly one" in the flickering socket, but it too will flicker. I tried a new bulb, but the same thing happens. Does this mean I need a new light socket or could there be a problem with the connection? Thank you

DJ, In most cases the light bulb would be the culprit for this and it is possible that the bulb is not in all the way.

Hi Ron. The light socket is part # 240364201. The door switch is part # []. Make sure they both have tight connections and they are receiving 120 vac to each device to send it to the bulb. Use the supplied wiring diagram behind the kick grill or in the controls section. The center post in the socket is 120 vac positive. The threaded sides are the white neutraL (negative). The door switch just opens and closes the positive feed wire. Thank You.

Hello Clayton. Test and see if there is power coming to the light socket. If not, you may have a bad door switch 241554901. Hope this helps.
