For Frigidaire Large Surface Element Switch (Part Number: OEM11656389)

Hello Jeff, thank you for reaching out to AppliancePartsPros.com Both infinite switches should have markings next to the terminals where each wire attaches. The new switch has slightly different markings from the original. I've marked what should be on the original switch and what the terminal corresponds to on the new switch. Original = New L1 = 3-L1 L2 = 5-L2 H1 = 1-H1 H2 = 4-H2 P = 2-P If you need the actual wire colors for each terminal we will need to know which element you are replacing the switch for, right front or left front.

Brian & Ali for Model Number LFEF3054TFC

Hello - Our glass top Frigidaire range, purchased new in 2017 had an issue with the front right large burner in May 2020; the burner worked fine, but it started making an arcing sound. It was determined that we needed a new switch (part # 316436001), as the factory switch showed scoring around the contact on the inside and the outside of the switch box. Once we replaced the switch, it has worked fine (and NO arcing sounds!) until recently. In January of 2023, we noticed that the arcing sound is back. We pulled the switch out, and can see the same scoring on the inside and the outside of the switch box around the contact. We would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks so much!

Pamela, The left front element not shutting off would most likely be in the switch part number 316436001. For the left rear, check to see if there is 240 Vac from the switch terminals H1 to H2 and if there is not then the switch 316436000 is faulty and would need to be replaced and if there is then the element 318178110 will be the issue.
