Jeff January 29, 2026 for Model Number 79096021405 Infinite switch oem 316021501 matches the 316436001 but are wired differently any pictures or a how to match the terminals from one to the other.
1 Answer Hello Jeff, thank you for reaching out to AppliancePartsPros.com Both infinite switches should have markings next to the terminals where each wire attaches. The new switch has slightly different markings from the original. I've marked what should be on the original switch and what the terminal corresponds to on the new switch. Original = New L1 = 3-L1 L2 = 5-L2 H1 = 1-H1 H2 = 4-H2 P = 2-P If you need the actual wire colors for each terminal we will need to know which element you are replacing the switch for, right front or left front. Sanjeev September 09, 2023 for Model Number 79096112340a Changing the switch qe214312 on my large burner. Replacement switch is 316436001. Joseph April 04, 2023 for Model Number FEF355CFSE My Frigidaire range has switches with a different arrangement of the wires than the replacement part I received from you, part #316436001. I can't just replace the wires like in your video. How do I tell which wire goes where? The old switch is smaller in size and is black. Where do the red, black, purple, and two orange wires go?
1 Answer Joe, the terminals should be labeled the same on the old switch as the new one. Just match the wires up to the terminal labels. Read More...
Connie March 04, 2023 for Model Number FFEF3048LSM My front large element will turn on only when it is placed past medium and then stays on very high heat, cannot turn down, only to off. Brian & Ali February 25, 2023 for Model Number LFEF3054TFC Hello - Our glass top Frigidaire range, purchased new in 2017 had an issue with the front right large burner in May 2020; the burner worked fine, but it started making an arcing sound. It was determined that we needed a new switch (part # 316436001), as the factory switch showed scoring around the contact on the inside and the outside of the switch box. Once we replaced the switch, it has worked fine (and NO arcing sounds!) until recently. In January of 2023, we noticed that the arcing sound is back. We pulled the switch out, and can see the same scoring on the inside and the outside of the switch box around the contact. We would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks so much!
1 Answer Brian & Ali, Thanks for asking!!! Sorry to hear you are having the same issue over again. You guys may just cook more than most people! There are no reported issues for this part. Read More...
Pamela October 30, 2022 for Model Number Kenmore. 790.96114409 I have problems with two burners. Left rear doesn’t work. (6 inch). Left front no longer will shut off. I have looked up the numbers on the parts but can’t seem to find an exact match. Switch numbers are 316021500 (left rear) 6 inch 316021500 (left front, larger burner
1 Answer Pamela, The left front element not shutting off would most likely be in the switch part number 316436001. For the left rear, check to see if there is 240 Vac from the switch terminals H1 to H2 and if there is not then the switch 316436000 is faulty and would need to be replaced and if there is then the element 318178110 will be the issue.
