Julie, There should be no reason why the WB30K5019 Canning Element won't work in the JS250DF1WW Electric Range. The electrodes are in the same location as a "standard" eight inch(8") top burner element, The difference is the bracket, it is taller and allows for the element to sit slightly higher and promotes a different air flow through the element and helps to reduce the heat build up in the cooktop from the extended cooking periods and high heat used for canning procedures.
