Steve March 06, 2014 for Model Number JVM1871 Microwave I just replaced the internal bulb and now when I close the door the light stays on and the convection fan continues to run. The fan shuts off when the door is opened, All cooking functions work fine!
1 Answer Steve, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board in which a relay is sticking causing the motor and the lamp stay on. Read More...
Ben March 10, 2013 for Model Number GE Profile Spacemaker XL1800 Microwave Oven (JVM1870SK) I was using stainless steel cleaner and accidentally ruined the black keypad. It appears the entire assembly above in part wb07x10629 has more than just the replacement keypad. The exploded view shows part number 12 (wb07x10629), which is the control panel frame, as an option but there is in image. Can you please confirm which part is needed to change the black keypad only?
1 Answer Ben, You cannot just change the keypad on unit. You will have to change out the control panel WB07X10629 Read More...
Dl August 10, 2011 for Model Number ge spacemaker xl1800 jvm1870sf001 I have been getting an F3 error code on my microwave which indicates the panel needs to be replaced. How difficult is this part to replace yourself?
1 Answer DL, In general, this is not a major repair, and doable, Here's some basic instructions " FRONT GRILLE REMOVAL Grille removal is required in order to lower the control panel, remove the door, or gain access to the line fuse, high voltage capacitor or high voltage diode. To remove the grille follow these steps: 1. Remove the two screws located above the grille which secure the grille to the uppercase and open the oven door. 2. Gently push down on the top of the grille while rotating the top of the grille forward. Note: the bottom of the grille has three tabs which hinge into the oven frame. 3. Once the top grille screw plates have completely been removed from the cabinet, lift upward on the grille, 1. Remove the upper grill. 2. Remove the screw securing the top of the control panel to the chassis. 3. Open the oven door and place your right hand flat on the face of the control panel. Push upward to disengage the alignment tabs. 4. Gently pull the top of the control panel towards you. To remove the control panel assembly, disconnect all associated connector plugs on the smart board. Disengage the lower control panel hinge tabs from the chassis and remove the complete control panel assembly. There are only two connector plugs which can be reversed, and they are color coded to assist you in correctly reassembling them." I think you'll do fine. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...

Can I replace just the plastic cover without replacing the whole control panel cover? If so, please give me the part number of this plastic cover. Thanks.
