Mel August 14, 2015 for Model Number JVM1631WB005 The touchpad/control panel on my GE SpacemakerXL Microwave JVM1631WB005 was dead; however, the vent fan runs & the interior light turns on when the door is opened. I unplugged the unit & plugged it back in. Now some of keys function again. It seems that only the numbers are still dead. So I can't set the clock or microwave anything except by using the 30-second button. Any troubleshooting suggestions or is a new control panel needed to fix it? Or a new microwave since this one is now 14 years old?

Erik October 20, 2013 for Model Number JVM1651WB005 The plastic frame around the control panel is broken, but the frame is integrated with the control panel. I found part number AP2017933 on your web site for $68, but the photo shows only the plastic frame -- for that price, I'm guessing the replacement piece is the entire control panel unit with the electronics, touchpad, digital readout, etc., not just the plastic frame. Is that correct?

1 Answer James, To replace the control panel, you first remove the upper grill of the unit. Unplug unit from wall. Remove the screw holding in the control panel and roll control panel out. Once out you will remove the components and transfer to new control panel and reinstall. Read More...
