Mtn Momma April 14, 2015 for Model Number 911.48465690 The light in the clock/oven control panel has gotten so dim that it's nearly impossible to read during the day. Any suggestions as to how to remedy this?
1 Answer Mtn Momma, The issue with the lights being dim would be caused by a transformer on the control board that is failing. You would need to replace the control board part number WB27T10290. Read More...
Michael C March 20, 2014 for Model Number GE Double Oven #JKP45W0W1WW Question please regard one single uncertain wire placement on GE double oven electronic control board. My current oven control board is p/n WB27K5318 on GE model JKP45W0W1WW. Replacement control board calls for what should be a compatible unit p/n WB27T10290 (or AP3425143). There are 10 individual wire connections, 4 wire plug connections and 1 ribbon cable connection on the control board. If you could view following amazon web link, you will have a visual view of my current board WB27K5318: www.amazon.com/GE-Part-Number-WB27K5318-WB27T10290/dp/images/B0093Q4I0A. Although wire connections are different physical pin location placement from old to new board, problem is that one single wire placement is not consistent old to new board to board. 9 of the 10 wires match old to new with consistent/identical label (i.e Bake1, Bake2, Broil1, Broil2, MDL1, MDL2, LI-1, LI-2, COM0). Problem is one wire from old board labeled as location C, there is no corresponding location C on new board. There is an uncertain location label COM1 on new board. I'm not sure if these two locations C on old to COM1 on new are one in the same? From visual on amazon link, my current C pin location (not clear view on visual) is located on far right bottom corner, right side of pin location MDL2, located between module/relay and wire plug connection J5. Instructions with new control board state nothing about what to do with C wire connection from old .. no statement to plug to COM1 on new, leave unplugged or whatever? Board is an expensive $400 unit, I do not want to damage by mis-plug or not plug at all .. not sure what to do? I apologize for lengthy note, do appreciate any guidance you can provide to assist. Would appreciate if you can send me any documentation or reference to this as well. Thanks for your time, Michael
1 Answer Hello Michael. The C terminal on the old board is for common wire. Also, the COM on the new board is common. So, based on the information you provided, the C should connect to the COM terminal. Read More...
