This is a genuine OEM replacement grease filter for use on cooktops. The air filter is used during cooking to filter smoke, grease, and other air contaminants from the air. When food is overheated, and smoke fills the kitchen, the air filter will pull the smoke from the air through the filter and out the exhaust. This helps to keep the air in the house odor and smoke-free. Odors can alter the way food tastes, so keeping the air and grease filter changed can help when serving food and how it is received. This filter also catches grease particles when cooking food in oil. These spatters will eventually clog the filter and necessitate the need to remove and replace it. If the filter is not removed, the air will not be able to circulate through it, and the filter will not work efficiently. Removal does not require tools. The filter is simply pulled out of the cavity and a new one placed in the cavity. The old filter should be discarded; this is not a filter that can be washed and reused. This filter is a black metal part that is sold individually. It is designed for stovetops and ranges manufactured by General Electric.

Richard for Model Number ZVB305B2SS

The diagram of this downdraft vent looks exactly like the one I'm working on. I need the filters for this and wonder if these are the right size. One of the filters is 13 x 3 1/4. It is black with two clips on one side. The model number on the cover inside is ZVB305B2SS - but I may have read it wrong because most of the model numbers I find on your site seem to be series ZVB30BB.... When I plug in the model number, it seems to pull up a different filter. Thanks for your time!

Hello Steve, If you open the cabinet and look at the downdraft assembly, you should see an I.D. tag on the unit that has the model and serial number on it. We will need the model number from this tag to find the proper filters for your particular unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
