Morris February 10, 2016 for Model Number jum1350ww 002 GE microwave spacemaker XL Space maker XL sensor microwave GE profile does not heat suddenly. Have power, light & info message window all work, door light, fan, turntable, timer all work, everything but cooking and heating. What do I need to repair DIY.
1 Answer Morris, In most cases when a unit stops heating it would be caused by a bad magnetron. You can test the magnetron for resistance. The resistance should be less than 1 ohm of resistance. If the resistance is more than that then the magnetron is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...

Dale January 06, 2015 for Model Number JVM1660BB005 The only documentation I have is a one-page diagram for replacing the charcoal filter on the top. The one I removed (which is clean after 6 years of use) looks more like a '486 grease filter. So is the one on top a '7740 charcoal filter or a '486 grease filter? The diagram says to change the charcoal filter every 6 to 12 months which we haven't. I don't know if there are other filters.
1 Answer Dale, the grease filter part number WB6X486 is the two at the bottom underneath the microwave. The charcoal filter part number WB2X9883 is at the top of the microwave. Hope this helps you, thanks. Read More...
