Ben for Model Number PSS25MGNACC GE Artica profile

The ice and water dispenser did not dispense either water or cubes and the light would not come on when pushing a glass against the actuator. I replaced the dispenser assembly control board with part number AP3207308. When I tried the post install operation the ice cube, crushed ice, filter reset, light on all work and the light comes on and goes off during a ice dispensing operation. The problem is the I cannot get water to come out but the light comes on when the glass pushed the actuator. I know water is in the system because the ice maker is producing cubes. Before I installed the board I installed a new door solenoid. Any help is greatly appreciiated.

Ben, With everything else working except the water you will want to remove the kickplate and disconnect the water line at the bottom of the door. Push the dispenser lever for water and see if water comes form the tube coming from under the unit. If water comes out then you have a frozen water line in the door and if no water comes out then will most likely be a water valve that has failed.

Susie, APP doesn't have a video of this repair at present. Removal is relatively easy, and there aren't any screws involved with replacement of the WR55X10306 Interface Display Assembly. " The dispenser interface can be removed to access the display board and the dispenser shield mounting screws. The interface is held in place by 4 tabs that hold it to the dispenser recess. To remove the interface, it is necessary to grasp the bottom lip of the interface on either side and gently pull it towards you. There are 3 wire harnesses connected to the display board. Note: The interface and display board are replaced as a complete assembly. When assembling, insert top tabs into the top of dispenser recess first, then snap the bottom into place." If you need a video, you may want to review the You Tube Video site, there may be something there you could use to get a better idea.

Nabil, This part can be replaced easily by grabbing the bottom of the interface and pulling straight out. Disconnect the wires and install the new one and put top in first. Here is a video that will show you but you do not have to remove the outer trim panel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JfytU8tO0k

Hello Ray. The part has probably failed again from a bad power supply on the main board WR55X10942C. Sometimes this is indicated by the lights dimming when you activate the dispense actuator with a glass. Sure hope this helps!

Hello Ray. If the unit does not dispense the water and the ice, and the lights dim when the paddle is pressed, you will need to replace the main control board WR55X10942C. The dimming of the lights is a sign of a bad main board on the unit. Hope this helps.
