George H. August 06, 2019 for Model Number GNSV70FBL Filter cartridge replacements seem to "lock" into the correct position in the manifold, but after a couple of weeks of use, the right-hand filter begins to twist out of "locked" position due to water pressure. No water then flows through the system. I have replaced filter cartridges in the past with no problems. Could the problem be with the cartridges, the manifold or do the "O" rings need to be replaced?
1 Answer Hello George, This is most likely an issue with the manifold assembly WS19X10016 since the filter change did not help any. Read More...
Ken May 06, 2013 for Model Number gxsl55f I replaced the filters and get very very low water flow. Tried 2 sets. Same result. New manifold? Something I should clean? Thanks Ken
1 Answer Ken, Based on this information it appears that the manifold is the issue and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Ron R. July 20, 2011 for Model Number GXSL55F OK....I just received the new manifold in the mail. Minus hose connections! Please tell me how to get the connections out of the old manifold, so I can put them into the new manifold. I don't want to force them, and break them. Do they just pop out, if you use a screwdriver etc. ????
1 Answer Ron, I take for granted you mean the elbow/ collet assembly(s) WS22X10045 . If you are, you're on the right track, you may need a small flat blade screw driver, to press in on the collet, then slide the elbow assembly out. Be very careful with removing the collet from he manifold, you don't want to damage it, it could/will leak if you do. Reverse the procedure to install. Good Luck. Read More...
Ron Randall July 18, 2011 for Model Number GE Smartwater GXSL55F My unit is leaking badly. I got new filters, and 0 rings. Still leaks. So it must be the manifold. OR...could it be the hose connection? (I don't think they are leaking) QUESTION: If I buy a new manifold, will I need new hose connections too? thank you, Ron Randall Haverhill, Ma.
1 Answer Ron, If you order the manifold, WS19X10016, you'll have everything you need to repair a leak from the housing assembly, I think you'll do fine if you order the manifold. Thanks and Good Luck, Read More...
