The Bake Element is an OEM part for GE ovens, designed to provide the heat necessary for baking. This element is located at the bottom of the oven cavity and heats up when electricity is applied, converting electrical energy into heat to cook food evenly.

Over time, however, the bake element can wear out or become damaged.

Symptoms of a bad Bake Element include:

  • Visible signs of wear or damage, such as blistering, cracks, or breaks in the element.
  • A burnt out element that no longer glows red or heats up.
  • Food not baking evenly or thoroughly.

This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

For Ge Bake Element (Part Number: OEM6093000)

Michael for Model Number JBP69BF3BB

Hi. So I had to replace the oven bake element and sure enough, one of the leads fell behind the wall. (red lead, on left). Tried fishing around for it, no luck. (should have watched the video first...) The video is not clear on how to find it. Do I need to pull the oven away from the wall and remove the back to find that wire or can I just remove the Wrapper Oven Cavity Assembly to get to it ? Appreciate any info you can provide !! Thank you.. Mike D 10.28.17

Michael, You will have to pull the unit out and take the back wall off to get to the wire to push it through the wall.

Bryan for Model Number 15891

While removing my heating element (GE part # WB44T10011) the push on terminal/wire that connects to the heating element broke off. I looked everywhere I know to look to get a part number for a replacement wire. It's a yellow wire that connects one side of the element to the control panel. So that leads to 2 questions: 1) can any properly rated wire with the same terminal connectors work and 2) any suggestions on finding a wiring diagram for my model range? I've already tried google and bing to no avail. Thanks for you help, Bryan

Bryan, You will want to use high temp terminals TJMA02875-1 and should be able to cut back some of the wiring and add this connector but if the wiring is bad also you can get TJMA0514G.
