Brad March 26, 2014 for Model Number JVM1870SK04 Both halogen bulbs are burned out (#AP4380308). Replaced one only and it has also burned out. There seems to be a problem with only one side of the socket assembly getting voltage and may need replacing. A wire or circuit may have broken from shuting the door to hard. I did not test the voltage on the socket asssembly. I am looking for a more details for trouble shooting this problem, and how to fix it as well as the necessary parts other than the bulbs. All of the other features on the microwave oven work well. Thanks, Brad
1 Answer Brad, The first thing that you will want to do is remove the screws holding the base in place. You will then want to check the voltage coming to the light socket. If the voltage is higher than 120 vac then the control board would most likely be the issue. This would be the most likely cause for the unit burning bulbs out too rapidly. Read More...
