Todd September 24, 2019 for Model Number WSM2420D0WW Need to replace lid switch (part 72). What is procedure. Do I need to remove top panel or front panel? How is that done?
1 Answer Todd, You will want to remove the front panel using a putty knife to release a clip on each side of the front panel where it meets the top panel. Usually a couple of inches in from the ends. 1 Answer Bill, To access the washer you will need to remove the 2 screws securing the safety access transition panel. Remove the panel by tiliting it down and pulling straight out. Removed the 2 screws located behind the washer top and pull the washer top forward to disengage top lock. Disconnect the washer lid switch harness and lift the top off.
