This electrical switch opens and closes a circuit to signal the control when a mechanism is engaged or returns to position, helping restore reliable start/stop and proper cycle sequencing in your appliance. What it does:

  • Sends an on/off signal to the control when actuated by a lever or cam
  • Helps start, stop, or confirm the position of internal mechanisms
  • Common symptoms of a failed switch: selected function won't start, cycles won't advance or stop as expected, or intermittent operation
  • A good switch shows proper continuity when actuated during a multimeter test

Install notes:

Daniel, The WS21X10003 filter switch is a good possibility and you may want to check it for proper circuitry, but , with no error codes and the system in a continuous recharge cycle, we would have to suspect the control board WS21X10016 / WS21X10016.

Hello Chris. The E-1 code can be one of three things. First unhook the unit and wait for a couple of minutes to "reset" it. If this does not work, then start at the cord and check all the way to the power head controls the electrical connections. The code may mean that the valve head assy. is stuck open and has not returned "home". Possible motor failure part # WS26X10011.
