Glenn February 03, 2019 for Model Number Dcvh680ejlww Dryer will work for a few minutes then will stop heating and turn off.
1 Answer Glenn, You can test the relay on the board at cn100 pin 3 to a neutral for 120 vac constant when the motor should be running. If it stops and you lose voltage then your control would need to be replaced. Other than that you have a belt switch and last is the motor. Read More...
Richard September 16, 2018 for Model Number DPSE810EG4WT I have looked everywhere for a saftey fuse as in most dryers. They are normally on the ducting somewhere and are a long (1-2") white flat piece. Can you tell me if this model has one. I have checked all thermistors and have not yet found the cause of not starting. When button is pushed LED's light but nothing else happens. Door switch and other suggestions have been eliminated.
1 Answer Richard, This unit will have your high limit thermostat on the rear drum around the outside of the element. That and the idler switch other than the door switch is the only thing in the motor circuit that will cause a no start. Read More...
David B. August 17, 2014 for Model Number DPSE810GG4WT I was going to order part #AP3207311 a replacement for a thermostat? for a GE DRYER Profile. Model # DPSE810GG4WT. Also part #230 on the schematic drawing. I have no continuity in the one gas dryer coil and will order. But upon checking this thermostat I noticed it also doesnt have continuity it registers a number leading me to think it was bad. So i pulled the original off of the dryer to check the part number since the drawing was bad and it doesnt even remotely look like the same part number or manufacturer. The part number says the following: "RU" is backwards on it twice indicating the part manufacturer. the part number appears to be: T-105 76J1HX0007 THERM-O- DISC The THERM-O-DISC is almost all plastic except for the leads. The Thermostat I pulled of came after the squirrel cage it wasn't the one mounted on the cage. The one pulled off came after the cage in the duct work of the exhaust. Is the #230 part that I think I need to order compatible or can it replace the THERM-O-DISC? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello David. The part you are looking for is the outlet thermistor part number WE04X20685. Thanks! Read More...
Shane May 12, 2014 for Model Number GE DBVH520EJ3WW Dryer will not heat, The T-Stat is the most logical cause, correct?
1 Answer Hello Shane. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
1 Answer JJ, Basically, this thermostat is a "safety" device, Should there be a "run away" temperature, or the exhaust temp exceeds the temperature rating on the tstat label (approximately 170 dgrs F.) , the thermostat will open and shut power off to the heat source and eliminates the heat until the exhaust temp drops and the tstat resets(approximately 150 dgrs F.) Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Dave December 10, 2011 for Model Number DPSE810EG4WT Re T - Stat , Outlet Bkup Org, AP3207311, this is normally closed (i.e continuity)is that correct?
1 Answer Dave, Correct, this thermostat should have a closed circuit at room temperature. A basic and quick rule of thumb, On most, if not all recently produced dryers, all thermostats and fuses, should have a "closed" circuit at room temperature. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
