The timer has stopped working and the machine has a pungent smell. I haven't taken the machine apart as yet, I have just started looking for parts when I came across your site. Would my timer be burnt out and do you have a new one for me?
1 Answer Hello Jeffery, I'm sorry but we will have to have a better description of the problem to determine the problem. I would suggest to open the control panel first and smell of the individual components. If one is burned out, you will be able to tell which one it is. James K. June 26, 2012 for Model Number DDE5100RALWH Will GE timer (Part Number AP2042830) work with my DDE5100RALWH clothes dryer? The images showing the external wiring connections are the same as my old one except that mine was made by Eaton Controls. The paper label has the same coding as the image (414-030-20). I see 2 other models on the cross reference (DDE5100RAL and DD5100RALWW). Are these just slightly different external designs, or are they functionally different?
