This is the lower bake element that supplies heat for the oven's Bake cycle. A worn or burned-out element can cause no heat or poor preheating—replacing it restores consistent oven temperature and dependable baking results. What it does:

• Provides the primary heat from the bottom of the oven during Bake
• Symptoms of failure: no heat in Bake, slow preheating, or not reaching set temperature
• Visible blistering, breaks, or arcing on the element indicate damage
