Jon April 10, 2019 Just bought two of these valve switches to replace two that had stopped working. One of the replacements worked without problem. The other... and I admit this is weird, won't spark on the "light" setting, but it WILL spark if I continue over to the Low flame setting. As far as I can see there's only one way to put it in so having it reversed doesn't seem to be possible. Any ideas what's going on? (bad spark module?)
1 Answer Jon, You should take the one valve switch that you replaced that worked and put it on the other valve and see if that one lights correctly. You might have just received a faulty part. Read More...
Chuck W August 23, 2015 for Model Number JGP636BEV1BB What can cause burning gas around valve knobs? Small flame. Could it be loose gas connection at switch?
1 Answer Chuck, The burner valve would be the issue with the unit having a small flame around the knob. You will not want to use the unit until this is resolved. Read More...
Robert E August 14, 2013 for Model Number GE Gas Cooktop I have a GE gas cooktop but cannot find the model number on it. I know that the valve switches need to be replaced and have watched your video. My question is: Is the switch assembly you sell common to all GE cooktops, or is there more than one kind?? It looks pretty generic, but I want to be as sure as possible before ordering. Thank you
2 Answers Hello Robert. No, you will need your model number to get the correct switches for the unit. Read More...
