This switch mounts on the surface burner gas valve stem and closes the circuit to the spark igniters when you turn the knob. Replace a worn switch to restore reliable ignition and eliminate nuisance or no-click conditions.

  • Activates the spark module for the selected burner when the knob is turned
  • Common symptoms: no spark/click on that burner, intermittent lighting, or continuous clicking after flame is lit
  • Helps correct single-burner ignition issues caused by a failed valve switch
  • Typical wear item from use, heat, or moisture exposure around the cooktop
What's included: One valve switch. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing
  • Remove the burner knob and access the valve/switch at the manifold
  • Note wire positions and transfer one at a time to the new switch
  • Ensure the switch seats on the valve stem and test for proper spark before reassembly
