Cyril August 04, 2013 for Model Number jvm1650ch01 Hi, The start cap is baked out on the vent motor. SMV-260UA-C it says 10uF. Do you have a part number and replacement instructions for that? Thanks, Cyril
1 Answer Hello Cyril, You will need to drop the unit from its' installation and remove the cover to access the capacitor. Once removed, the capacitor is mounted using one screw. Since there are only two wires you should have no problem swapping them out. Re-install the cover and re-install the unit. Be sure to use two people to remove and re-install the microwave to prevent injury and/or damage to the cooktop and countertop. Read More...
Pt October 13, 2012 for Model Number JVM1660BB001 the microwave was used with internal circulation for venting but now we want to adapt to an outside vent system thru ductwork. How do we modify the present working system to do that and what parts do we need?
1 Answer PT, The ventillation/blower motor assembly is a relatively easy adjustment to make. You remove the microwave, remove the motor cover panel screws, "flip" the motor so the openings in the plenum face the direction you want the vent pipe to attach(top or back) and resecure the assembly. The duct work and any needed adapters, wall or roof caps, screws, tape, etc. can be purchased from the local home improvement center, and installed by any basic "do it yourselfer" . Read More...
Michael December 04, 2011 for Model Number Emo3000css04 We have our microwave mounted to the underside of the cabinet directly above our stove. While cooking a flame shot up from the frying pan while the ventilation fan was on and melted one of the plastic fan wheels on the ventilation motor assembly. Is it possible to just replace the white plastic fan wheel without purchasing an entirely new ventilation fan motor assembly? If so where can I purchase that part and how do I go about replacing that part?
1 Answer Hello Michael. No, if the fan blade is melted, you will need to replace the motor assembly WB26X10042. Hope this helps. Read More...
