Jack for Model Number LFX28978ST

I have a broken ABH74499601 and see your response on removing the tray and as you call it, pop the panel out. How much force is needed? It just doesn't pop out easily like an instrument dashboard on a car. I do not see any type of release with those 2 holes and it would seem the dispenser panel would break if I just put a screw driver in the hole/slot and pulled forward. I can pull down on the panel and get the top right corner to release a bit ( I think maybe a plastic tab broke there). So what is the trick/key to getting out the panel. Does it come straight out or should it be rocked in a certain direction up/down, left/right? Assuming the panel breaks is there a replacement part for that?

Hello Jack. It takes some force to remove these most of the time. They are not easy to remove.

Mike, In order to get the button back into place you will need to pop the dispenser panel out. To remove the dispenser housing you will need to remove the dispenser tray and there will be 2 holes there. You can put a screw driver in there and pop the panel loose. Once this is done the panel will come out and you can install the button.
