Juliet October 17, 2025 for Model Number lg refrigerator LRFLC2706 Do I need a water filter bypass plug if removing filter? I’m installing a reverse osmosis system and they say we have to remove the water filter. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Juliet, and thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn’t list a compatible bypass plug for the model number you provided. In many cases, that’s because the filter system is designed to operate only with a filter installed, relying on at least 20 psi of water pressure to flow properly through it instead of using a bypass. Bob August 22, 2025 for Model Number LF25Z6211S/00 According to the information provided by the manufacturer I need a bypass device if wish to provide water for ice and water without the filter installed. I ordered the one the model number calls for. ABN73019101. It does not fit after paying part and shipping. Do you know what I need?
1 Answer That’s a good question, Bob. From the manufacturer info available, it looks like this model doesn’t use a bypass filter. What you can try is pulling the filter out and then seeing if water will dispense. If water comes through normally – the filter manifold has a built-in bypass, so you don’t need a separate one. If water doesn’t dispense – then the fridge does require the filter AGF80300704 to be installed. Read More...

Dave April 17, 2025 for Model Number LFX25978ST01 There is no water from the water dispenser and it’s not making ice, even after I changed both inlet valve from the back of the fridge and back of the door. Where else do I have to look to solve this problem?
1 Answer Hello Dave, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com That would lead me to suspect that you either have a stopped up water filter AGF80300702 or a bad filter head ADQ36011715. Read More...
Drew C March 19, 2025 for Model Number LRFXS2503S I have and LG Fridge and have RO direct line into it. I have removed the filter and there is no leakage. Water continues to operate from the dispenser. The manual says nothing about a Water Filter Bypass Plug Cap Assembly, so I assume that it has an auto bypass? Can I just leave the filter housing empty and carry on? Thanks.
1 Answer Drew, This is correct. As long as the water pressure stays high enough to cut the valves off, you should be good. Read More...
