This capacitor stores and releases electrical energy to support the appliance's circuit during startup and operation. Replacing a weakened capacitor can restore reliable performance and reduce humming, hard starting, or stalling in the affected component.

  • Provides a power boost at startup and helps stabilize voltage during operation
  • Helps the connected component start promptly and operate smoothly under load
  • Common failure signs include humming, slow or no start, or intermittent operation
  • Contribute to overheating or a tripped breaker/fuse when the component tries to start
What's included: One capacitor. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance. Before handling, safely discharge the old capacitor using a proper resistor-rated tool.
  • Photograph or note wire positions; move each lead to the same-labeled terminal on the new capacitor and ensure snug connections.
  • Mount the capacitor securely in its bracket; keep terminals covered and clear of metal surfaces.
