The Locker is an OEM replacement part for LG microwaves. It is a metal hook located on the side of the microwave door that securely fastens the gasket and seals when closed. The door hook ensures a tight compressive fit of the door gasket all around the perimeter of the door opening. 

Symptoms of a bad door hook include:

• Gaps appearing around the door seal allowing steam or heat to escape  
• The door not sitting flush and securely closed
• Risk of accidental opening during a cooking cycle
• Reduced heating efficiency 

Causes tend to be normal wear over time, like dulling or bending of the thin metal hook. Impact or over-tightening could potentially damage or deform the hook.
