Slickrock January 02, 2017 for Model Number DLE7177WM My LG Tromm Model DLE7177WM Dryer does not heat. I've tested the thermal fuse and high limit sensors and both have good continuitty less than 1 ohm. I've also tested the heating element: red to blue measures 19 ohms; red to yellow measures 19 ohms, and yellow to blue measures about 40 ohms. Plus, the motor and blower work fine, the vent system has no lint build-up, and the dryer is receiving 220 volts from its power source. I've also tried increasing the temperature control; however, dryer still blows cold air. Please advise how to best correct problem.
1 Answer Hello Slickrock. Test for power from the main board to the heater. If none is there, then the board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
