1 Answer Hello David, unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued the man control board for your unit and we no longer have any left in stock. You can try to locate one in your area or a used one online. Hope this helps! Read More...
Ellen October 21, 2013 for Model Number WM2801HWA The machine does not power on when I press the button. I have to unplug the machine and re-plug it after it completes a load. When I plug it back in sometimes it resets and sometimes it doesn't. When I plug it in the outlet the outlet pops like it is sparking.
1 Answer Hello Ellen. Based on the information you provided it sounds like the main board EBR44289808 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Jim May 05, 2012 for Model Number LG model WHM2801HRA The service tech replaced my Hall effect sensor and control board (board replaced twice) and it still doesn't spin as fast as it did before the board was replaced. His guess is the new board has been programmed for lower speed to reduce complaints of vibration. Now the clothes come out wetter and take twice as long to dry. Can I order the original board?
1 Answer Jim, it's not likely you'd be able to get an "original" control board. In most cases when there is an ECN (engineering change number) the original stock is purged and discarded, and the updated part is plced in stock. I doubt the manufacturer would reduce the RPM speed to the point that it would not extract the water and leave them soaking wet. You may want to review your User's manual to insure it's not a mistake on your part, and then have the tech return and re diagnose the issue, Worn belt, worn tub bearings, etc. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
