The control board needs to be kept in proper working order, as it directly controls and monitors the washing machine functions, including the draining and spinning cycles. Over time or with regular appliance use, this part could deteriorate to the point of failure, causing the machine to stop working. Unplug the appliance from power and water before proceeding with replacements or repairs. This control board has been sourced from the manufacturer and is compatible with washing machine models manufactured by LG and other brands. This part has been made from high-quality, durable, non-corrosive materials and is only sold individually.

For Lg Control Board (Part Number: OEM15818304)

Hello Robert, you would have to remove/release the washer top at this point to access the tub area. Unplug the washer from the outlet and at the rear of the washer on each side of the lower control panel area remove the 2 screws and lift slightly and push the top forward just enough to release it from the sides of the cabinet.

I purchased a Kenmore Front Load Washer and Dryer From Sears in Fort Lauderdale and ship it to Jamaica. The electrical cycle in Jamaica is 50 Hz. However, the machine I bought is a 60 Hz cycle. The machines will not work with the Jamaica 50 Hz. Therefore, I think what I need is to replace both digital 60 Hz control boards to 50 Hz control boards. Is this the right solution? and If so, Do you sell the 50 Hz control boards and at what price including shipping to Miami. or to Jamaica via FedEx?

1 Answer

Owen, Unfortunately we would not have a 50 hz board for this unit and there should be some type of adapter that you could get in order to operate the unit overseas but will need to contact a electrician to find something like this.

Jeff for Model Number WT5001CW

I've replaced the main PCB twice on this machine and it has gone out again. The first time I replaced it, I also replaced the filter assembly that the power runs through. I didn't the second time but did recommend to my customer that maybe a surge protector wouldn't be a bad idea. After the first replacement, it lasted 11 months before going bad. The second PCB didn't last a month. Is there something I'm missing? Should I have replaced the filter assembly the 2nd time as well?

1 Answer

Jeff, It would be recommended to check the wiring to make sure that there is no loose or damaged wires. If this checks ok then you may want to replace the filter and also if there are a lot of power surges then this will most likely be the issue.
