Chuck February 15, 2023 for Model Number LFX25978ST/01 No water to water dispenser or ice maker, all the following have been verified to be working (multiple times) by myself and two different repairmen. Water supply to refrigerator, water supply valve at back of refrigerator, new water filter, water to dual solenoid valve in door that supplies water to ice maker and water dispenser, ice maker itself, PCB assembly EBR60070707 has been replaced. Still no water. There is no power to the dual solenoid valve but it works when an outside source of power is applied. Any ideas? I don’t want to keep replacing random parts. No definitive answer from either repairmen, both supposedly reputable and LG qualified?????
1 Answer Chuck, based on the information provided, there would have to be a wire failure either in the door ADD73497602 (part has been discontinued by the manufacturer), the wires at the door hinge, or in the liner of the appliance itself. Unfortunately, as the door has been discontinued, there would not be a way of fixing the wire unless it is broken at the hinge with enough room to apply a splice. Read More...
