James June 15, 2015 is this tool Spring Removal Tool Part Number: AP5634178 Made by: Pro for the inner more difficult spring compared to the outer spring on an LG that only has a small spring. So in other words I am looking for a tool to help that is an entire spring that must go into the groove. Any video showing the use of this tool?

1 Answer Charlotte, The only spring removal tool for your unit is part number 383EER4001A. While this spring removal tool is not required to remove the spring from the door boot it does make the job a lot easier to accomplish. To remove the spring you can use a pair of needle nose pliers to get ahold of the spring and just put it through the eyelet on the spring and pull the spring off. When replacing you would get one side on and then work the spring around the opening until it gets into the groove and in place properly. Read More...
Lyle May 27, 2013 for Model Number Westinghouse front load washer The boot seal metal spring ring came off. I believe I need a spring expansion tool or spring removal tool to put the ring back in place. Do you have one preferable that is not too expensive since I hopefully will not be using it again. 1 Answer Hello Lyle. If it is front spring, there is no need for a spring tool. You can use your hand and roll the spring onto the boot and front panel of the unit. Make sure the spring is at the bottom and start the ring on the top and work your way down and snap it into place on the unit. Read More...
