For Samsung Refrigerator Right Guard Assembly (Part Number: OEM17394885)

Ed for Model Number RF28hmedbsr/AA

The upper right door upper 2 bins keep braking. I have replaced 9 of them. Samsung replaced 6 but no longer under warrantee. Can't get Samsung to do anything and am looking for help to resolve. They brake when they are near empty after a few months and there is no interference from the shelves behind the door. I believe there is a problem with the molding that holds the door. How many of these doors have been replaced? Is it a design flaw or how the doors are assembled? They always brake right at the connection between the clear and white parts and sometimes it cracks the bottom of the white section.

Ed, Unfortunately, we do not have information on how many times these doors have been replaced or the reason they were replaced for. This issue sounds like either the bin is not sliding all the way down on the door or that the bin is leaning forward which would cause the breaking issue with any weight on it. Also overloading the bin will cause breaking as well.

Debbie, The clear piece will not be available as a separate part and will need to replace the shelf.
