Dydx August 13, 2015 for Model Number Samsung SxS Fridge RS263TDBP Friend's block had a power outage. When power came back on, upper shelves of fridge were not as cool (butter not as hard, e.g.), although the bottom part was cold. Freezer works fine. She said she had a neighbor's nephew look at it, and he said it smelled like a burnt board in the back. He looked, and said it was toast. So...is this the board he looked at? He's not available to ask. Is replacing the board simple? Any resets or calibrations that have to be done? Lastly...would a power outage cause such a problem, and can a blown board cause these symptoms? Seems like the upper shelves don't have any air coming out of the vents.
1 Answer Hello Dydx. Most likely, DA41-00670B is the correct board needed. These are not hard to replace. Once installed, just plug the unit up and it should start working in 10 to 15 minutes. Read More...
Jay H September 30, 2014 for Model Number RS263TDPN/XAA Unit is plugged in and there is power, 119v. Nothing comes on, not even the light bulb. Unit has two boards in the back. Which one is or has failed?
1 Answer Hello Jay. Test and see if there is power coming to the main board DA41-00670B. If so, and nothing is working, you will need to replace the board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
