For Samsung Range Main Control Board (Part Number: OEM16959906)

Dana, Test the element for resistance. If it is good it should read about 19 or 20 ohms of resistance. If the element is okay then you can repair the wire connector and replace the board.

Dana for Model Number FE710DRS/XAA

Our range has not been heating correctly, it heats up but slowly and then fails to maintain the temperature, I checked it with an infra red, if you shut it off and turn it back on it heats back up, I thought maybe it was the temp sensor, how ever when I checked the sensor I get an even 1133 ohms so it was apparent the sensor is functioning correctly, as I continued trouble shooting I noticed a yellow wire running to what I think is the lower burner, which looked burnt when I touched it sure enough the wire crumpled from the connector, I traced the wire back to the connector on main board, the two lower connectors are burnt looks like a small explosion went off, I know at minimum the main board will need replaced, I can replace the connector to the wire and reattach it, but if I do this will it blow the main board again, or do I need to replace the lower burner element also?

Dana, Of course, you would want to test to make sure that the element is good but sounds like you just need to change the connector and the board for the unit.

David, The main control board on this unit would be the issue as it is not reading the oven sensor probe properly.

Neweyess, Apparently you have lost the L2 power supply to all the elements. You will need to check for 240 VAC across the terminals on the terminal block ( you have L1 power, the clock works) Then you'll need to check the high limit thermostat on the back of the oven to make sure you have a "closed" circuit across the terminals with the wires disconnected.
