David D. August 22, 2017 for Model Number WA422PRHDWR/AA-0001 Machine executes all functions except spin. Problem began with a DC error message in a single cycle and I lightened load and got it to spin. Over time, all wash cycles refuse to spin. Machine drains and you can hear transmission engage and it budges slightly but stalls...no error message now appears. Timer (control panel) or drive assembly issue?
1 Answer David, The DC error code would be caused by a unbalanced load issue. With what is going on with no spin then check the door switch and the motor assembly. Read More...
Dave March 27, 2017 for Model Number WA400PJHDWR/AA-0001 We had a lightening storm and now our washer won't power on. The outlet is GFI and still works, I tested it. Will replacing the control board solve the problem or how do we determine what part is ruined?
1 Answer Hello Dave. You will need to test for power to the main board on the unit. If there is power there, and the board does not work, you will need to replace the board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dave March 26, 2017 We had lots of lightning earlier this week and now my Samsung washer won't power on. It's plugged into a gfci outlet. I reset the outlet and it worked a few time, but now I can't get it to power on. Could this be a control board problem? Or is the whole electronic system shot? Model WA400PJHDWR/AA-0001
1 Answer Dave, Where the power cord plugs into the unit there will be a line filter that it plugs into. Check to make sure that there is 120 vac at the power cord and if there is then check the other side where it comes off the board for 120 vac. If there is power present at both positions then the main control board will likely be the issue. Read More...
Noah October 08, 2016 for Model Number WA422PRHDWR/AA-0000 My washer wouldn't power up so I replaced the control board and it does now. However, it won't start a cycle. When I press the start/pause button it makes the same sound as the other buttons instead of the one it's suppose to make. Is the problem with the control module?
1 Answer Noah, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control module that is not communicating properly with the main board. Read More...
Billy March 04, 2016 for Model Number wa400pjhdwr/aa How can you tell if the problem is with the control board or the control module?
1 Answer Hello Billy. If some of the buttons are not working it is the module. If the unit does not function properly, it is the board. You can use the tech sheet on the unit and run diagnostic to determine also. Read More...
Tommy July 09, 2015 for Model Number WA400PJHDWR/AA-0001 Always after 8 minutes in rinse and spin cycle starts shaking and stops, kicking code or codes DC-DF or DG. After 15 minutes, it starts over. Which part do I change? I'm thinking the control panel or the other board. Am I even close?
1 Answer Hello Tommy, If you could please re-post in a new thread with a valid e-mail, I can send you some literature which shows how to diagnose and repair your unit the way the factory recommends. Read More...
