This is the ice level sensing arm that detects when the ice bin is full and signals the ice maker to stop producing ice. It pivots up as ice accumulates in the bin, triggering the shut-off mechanism. Replace this arm if your ice maker won't stop making ice, stops producing ice prematurely, or if the arm is broken, bent, or not moving freely.
